Exploring how learning environments shape student motivation and self-regulated learning

About Me

I am a PhD student in Educational Psychology at the University at Albany-SUNY, focusing on student motivation and self-regulated learning.

My research interest was sparked by observing how my mother, a high school principal and counselor, used psychological approaches to help students overcome academic challenges. This early exposure revealed to me the transformative power of understanding students' psychology in education.

Currently, I am exploring how different learning environments influence student motivation and self-regulated learning, with a particular focus on adolescents and college students during their critical developmental stages.
